Grading Policy

Students are given quizzes and exams throughout the program to gauge the progress of the class. Emphasis is placed on learning the material in the exam rather than assigning a letter or nuStudentmber grade to it. All questions on the exams are studied and reviewed during class to determine the "why" of the correct answer and the "why not" of the incorrect answer. If a student does not pass an exam, the student may take it again after adequate study and review of the problem area(s).

Attendance Policy

Students are expected to arrive on time for class with proper materials. An aggregate attendance rate of not less than 80% is required. Students who are unable to continue classes for medical reasons or other severe personal problems which create excessive absence need to speak to the Director to determine if such absence shall require withdrawal and re-entry at a later date.

Conduct, Termination, Complaints

ERES may terminate a student’s enrollment for unacceptable conduct, absenteeism, and non payment of tuition. Unacceptable conduct includes, but is not limited to, disruptive or distracting activities in or around the classroom; arriving late or departing early from class; dishonesty; failure to carry out any reasonable request by an instructor.
Student complaints should be brought to the attention of the school director in order to be resolved. If a student complaint can not be resolved between the school and student, the student may contact the Division of Private Occupational Schools at 303-866-2723 and/or file a complaint on line at www.state.co.us/dpos. There is a two year limitation of Division action on student complaints.
